TCI took the Win at another global environmental award – the Green World Awards featured with its green apple trophy. The Green World Awards is hosted by the Green Organisation since 1994. Many institutions involved in its evaluation make it become very influential with great reputation across the globe. The criteria include environmental benefit, innovation, commitment to achieve by senior personnel involved, social benefit, economic benefit, quantitative evidence of impact, future further development plans, and possible adoption by others. The winners include world-renowned brands and institutions such as Honeywell, O’right, and Incheon International Airport (South Korea).
TCI has been cultivating the development of sustainability and invited by the Climate Group to attend 10th Climate Week NYC. Today the Green Organisation officially announces TCI is one of the winners of the Green World Awards. They also invite TCI to be the Green World Ambassador in 2020.
In addition, TCI’s products have been imported into 54 countries across the globe through our Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) model. Owing to the consequences brought by the Trade War posing problems on manufacturing functional beverages in China, we help our customers transfer their orders to be manufactured in Taiwan. We have received the approval from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and will invest NTD 3.3 billion for a new factory operated by renewable energy in the Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park to increase the productivity for functional beverages in Taiwan. We have set our extraction instruments and fermentation instruments in Taiwan to satisfy the demands from the globe. This decision will further bring 110 domestic job opportunities.
TCI is the second Taiwanese company after Delta Electronics Inc. who devotes to the development of “Green Economics” and joins the climate change meetings hosted by the United Nations. We have been invited to attend Climate Week NYC this year, and will share our experience in innovative development of circular economy and manufacturing with renewable energy. The enterprises will participate in this summit include McKinsey & Company, Unilever, Estée Lauder, Johnson & Johnson, IKEA, 3M, and Ørsted.
TCI has successfully developed products by using by-products such as banana peels, banana flowers, peanut skin, and red quinoa husks and collected various international prizes across the world. We are grabbing many people’s attention across the globe and obtain the Green World Awards this year. The organizer also invited us to become the 2020 Green World Ambassador.

“Turn Waste into Gold”, the circular economy based on agriculture, is the business model has been conducting by TCI for many years. The vertical management is started from the very upstream, the farmlands, to supervise the materials. We managed to develop successful business models for both the circular economy featured with the reutilization of by-products and the net zero carbon production by renewable power.
TCI is the winner of the Environmental Best Practice with the concept “Dietary Supplements with Three Sustainable Elements: Circular Economy, Renewable Energy, and Net Zero Carbon Emissions”. We will send our representative to obtain this award on September 30th in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Furthermore, TCI was also invited to become the 2020 Green World Ambassador. We will participate in the ceremony and obtain the medal of Green World Ambassador on November 25th at the Houses of Parliament, Palace of Westminster. We will promote the practices for sustainability as a green ambassador and devote to being a role model in sustainability for all enterprises.
